As one of the backbone departments of the college, the Department of Automotive Engineering offers a professional group centered on Automotive Manufacturing and Testing Technology, including New Energy Vehicle Technology, Intelligent Connected Vehicle Technology, Automotive Inspection and Maintenance Technology, and New Energy Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Technology. It has built BYD Applied Technology (Industry) College, Geely Automotive Industry College, National Vocational Education Automotive Technology Training Base, Guizhou Popular Science Education Base - Automotive Science Museum, Automotive Intelligent Manufacturing - Welding Training Center, Guiyang Fire Equipment Technician Training Base, Ministry of Education School-Enterprise Cooperation SAIC-GM AYEC Project, Pentium ARS Body Repair Training Center, and PPG Automotive Coating and Beauty Training Center. The total area of internship and training venues is 6,000 square meters, with equipment worth over 20 million yuan.
